Inscriber Infocaster takes centre stage in ITN's Channel 4 news studio

Gee Broadcast Systems, UK distributor of TV graphics products from Inscriber, has announces that Inscriber's Infocaster digital signage system has been chosen by ITN to power three 50" plasma displays used as set dressing in its Channel 4 news studio.
The news broadcaster has purchased five Infocaster systems.
Kevin Morrison, Senior Project Manager at ITN, commented: "After seeing Inscriber's Infocaster at a seminar, we decided it was the best system available to meet our technical needs. We particularly like its flexibility and ease of use, which is of paramount importance in the fast-changing news broadcast environment."
The three plasma screens are each driven by dedicated Infocaster systems. Infocaster is supplied in a small footprint PC so that it can be built into information delivery systems and kiosks. The other two Infocasters at ITN provide the creative interface and redundant backup. The creative system is networked to the three output systems so that graphics generated for studio display can be updated simply and quickly.
The installation went live in January 2005.
