Pyser-SGI supplies TV-Logic LCD Multi-Format HD monitors to BBC Yorkshire

Pyser-SGI Limited has delivered eight TV-Logic Multi-Format LCD HD monitors to BBC Yorkshire.
The LVM-170W 17.1 inch widescreen monitors are now in use at the BBC’s news hubs at Leeds and Hull, four at each location. Both facilities play an important role in meeting BBC local news service requirements.
The LVM-170W LCD HD monitors ordered by BBC Yorkshire replace existing LCD monitors, in order to provide better quality displays for picture assessment and to complement the new technology ergonomics of the working areas in the hubs. The thin-line design of the LVM-170W LCD monitors saves space, and they are being employed alongside other computer-type displays, which are used for administrative tasks.
The completion of this order follows the earlier supply of two LVM-170W monitors to the BBC Television Centre in London for general purpose and portable video monitoring.
As well as the 17.1 inch widescreen LVM-170W, the range of TV-Logic brand products available from Pyser-SGI include the LVM-084 8.4 inch, and widescreen LVM-230W 23 inch LCD Multi-Format monitors, offering HD performance compatible with any HD format as well as SD SDI, analogue component, composite video and VGA signal formats. Additional features include under scan, pulse cross, safe area/centre cursors, and low delay. All products offer remote control facilities and tally, and have comprehensive OSD menu driven controls.
The LVM-170W operates from 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz mains supply with a power consumption of 45 W, or from 12 V d.c. Dimensions without stand are 405 mm (width) x 304 mm (height) x 80 mm (depth). Optional accessories include carrying case, V-mount battery adaptor, hood/handle, and 19-inch rack mounting kit (7U).
Paul Goodwin, Pyser-SGI’s Divisional Head, Broadcast and CCTV Products Division, said: “Although it is only a few months since we signed an agreement with Korean company D2NET for the UK/Ireland distributorship of TV-Logic branded products, we are delighted with the level of interest and orders from major UK broadcasters, and in particular with the positive feedback received. We are anticipating the introduction of new TV-Logic products during the coming year”.
