Input Group names Richard Markell Head of Business Development

Richard Markell has joined the Input Group as the company’s Head of Business Development.
A founder member of English Markell Pockett, before forming the highly successful Red Pepper design company, he joined Input in mid-February.
Markell-ID, his current design and branding agency, will operate as a division of the Input Group of companies.
“This is an extremely exciting period for the Input Group,” said David Wood, Input's Managing Director. “We have experienced a period of continued expansion and having Richard join us to develop and expand our client base is great news for us all here at Input. With Markell-ID now operating under the Input banner, our existing one-stop production capabilities are greatly enhanced.”
Markell’s brief is to develop all areas of Input’s business including broadcast and corporate production, branding and the marketing of the company’s extensive facilities. Input’s Production Centre comprises 15 on-line suites including a recently installed DS Nitris HD suite. With facilityline connectivity to the BT Tower and a presentation studio for live transmissions, Input is capable of hosting all areas of television production.
Richard Markell said: “Input is one of television’s best kept secrets. The company has grown over the last twelve years from a fledgling boutique post house to a major player in the independent sports production market. It has an excellent facilities set-up to complement its production capabilities. I am very much looking forward to working with the great team at Input and see an extremely bright future for the company.”
