ITV TO BROADCAST NEW COMEDY

PETER DAVISON is starring in a brand new comedy drama for ITV ‘The Last Detective’ adapted from the novel by best selling author Leslie Thomas.
The two-hour drama, adapted by Richard Harris, the writer of award-winning television hits ‘A Touch of Frost’ and ‘Outside Edge’, follows the comic and moving tale of ‘Detective Constable Dangerous Davies’.
The prestigious cast for this original and moving drama also includes David Troughton, Rob Spendlove, Joanne Froggatt, and Rachel Davies.
Filming has just begun on locations in London, for transmission later this year.
The producer is Nick Hurran, whose credits include: ‘The Perfect Match’, ‘Girls Night’, ‘Outside Edge’, ‘Take A Girl Like You’ and ‘Happy Birthday Shakespeare’.
The Last Detective is directed by Andrew Grieve, whose credits include: ‘Hornblower’, ‘On The Black Hill’, ‘Poirot’, ‘Lorna Doone’ and ‘Kavanagh QC’.
The executive producer is Tim Vaughan and Michele Buck, Controller of Drama for LWT/ United Productions.
‘The Last Detective’ is made by United Productions for Meridian Broadcasting for transmission on ITV. (CD)
