Outpost Digital appoints ex-Rushes producer Jonathan Davies

Newly-launched facility Outpost Digital UK has appointed Jonathan Davies as director of production.
Davies joins the team after a four-year stint at Rushes where he set up its music video department, Adrenalin. In his new role Davies will head up Outpost’s visual effects division for long-form work, commercials and music promos. His credits include T Mobile, Smirnoff and Toyota commercials for Blue Source, The Streets’ ‘Fit But You Know It’ video by Dougal Wilson and Zoot Woman’s ‘Grey Day’ for Dawn Shadworth. Prior to joining Rushes Davies held positions at the Moving Picture Company and P3 Post.
Davies has been talking to the team at Outpost for a number of months. “It was the people and the technical set up which first attracted me to Outpost,” he said. “The team’s enthusiasm and drive are second to none, and the set up here is completely unique. We can offer our clients a virtual HD environment and the ability to work remotely or on the fly. I can’t think of another UK-based post house which can make that claim!”
Outpost’s Managing Director, Antony Adel, said: “We’re over the moon that Jonathan’s joined us. It’s great to have someone of his calibre on the team. His creative talent and contacts will be a huge asset to us."
The Outpost Digital Group, which has established facilities in New York and Los Angeles has worked on films such as ‘Harry Potter and the Wizard of Azkaban’, ‘Two Brothers’ and ‘Laws of Attraction’, as well as a number of pop promos, commercials and television series.
