Adorn And SX From Martin Audio Drive Multi-Zone Sound

Sodah Tirana, a new all-day restaurant and lounge in the centre of Albania’s capital, has been fitted with a Martin Audio system to provide consistent, high-quality sound throughout.

The solution was designed, supplied and installed by local integrator Prosound.

The brief called for excellent audio fidelity and even coverage, delivered at modest sound pressure levels suitable for hospitality, while retaining headroom for busier periods.

"The client was looking for a system that would provide good sound quality and even coverage rather than simply focusing on high SPL," explained Endrit Veleshnja, Audio System Design & Installation Manager at Prosound. "The system needed to deliver a balanced and enjoyable listening experience at moderate sound pressure levels, while also providing sufficient headroom for busier periods and the overall atmosphere of the venue."

Prosound selected a distributed setup from Martin Audio’s portfolio, combining the ADORN Series with SX Series subwoofers to match the performance and aesthetic needs of the site.

The venue spans two indoor levels—featuring a mezzanine on the upper floor—and a separate outdoor terrace, requiring discrete zoning and tailored coverage in each area.

On the ground floor, six Martin Audio ADORN A80T loudspeakers are paired with two SX112 subwoofers. The second-floor mezzanine mirrors this configuration with six A80T cabinets and two SX112 subs, while the outdoor terrace is equipped with four IP54-rated Martin Audio A55 loudspeakers. Restrooms use Martin Audio C4.8T full-range ceiling speakers to maintain continuity of sound.

"The A80T was a particularly suitable choice for the project because it offered a very good combination of sound quality, performance and value," noted Veleshnja. "The loudspeakers also needed to integrate naturally with the interior design of the venue, which the ADORN Series unobtrusive contemporary design does very well."

"The compact size of the SX112 subwoofers allowed the additional low-frequency support required for the lounge environment without making the system unnecessarily large or visually intrusive." The system is split into multiple zones, allowing staff to adjust levels independently and remotely as the operation shifts from day to night.
