Arqiva And Gulfsat Sign Three-Year Uplink Deal

Arqiva has agreed a landmark partnership with Kuwait-based Gulfsat Satellite Services, marking a significant step in its Middle East growth strategy.

Under the three-year arrangement, Arqiva will deliver a managed service that includes fibre connectivity and the uplink of four Ku-band transponders from its Chalfont and Crawley teleports to Eutelsat 8WB.

The end-to-end solution combines resilient global fibre, integrated infrastructure and 24/7 operations. By providing secure, geographically diverse, ex‑region uplink from the UK, the service is designed to enhance business continuity, operational resilience and long-term service assurance for broadcasters and operators across the region.

Gulfsat selected Arqiva for its worldwide connectivity, diverse European uplink capability serving MENA beams, WTA Tier 4‑grade UK infrastructure and strong track record for operational excellence.

While addressing Gulfsat’s immediate needs, the agreement also lays the groundwork for future collaboration across Arqiva’s expanding media services, including cloud playout, headend services, monetisation, streaming and CDN.
