Sara Richardson Joins ITV Studios

Australian television executive Sara Richardson is joining ITV Studios as managing director to establish a new drama label focused on developing Australian series for global audiences.

Richardson joins the company from Endemol Shine Australia, where she has served as director of scripted television since 2020. During her tenure, she established and oversaw NCIS: Sydney, the first international iteration of the long-running NCIS franchise, for Paramount+ Australia. The series has run for four seasons.

The new label, whose name will be announced at a later date, will spearhead an ambitious slate of Australian drama productions for international audiences. It will also explore opportunities for closer development and production partnerships with Lingo Pictures, with both companies benefiting from ITV Studios' creative resources, infrastructure and global distribution reach.

The launch marks the latest addition to ITV Studios' international production portfolio under Lisa Perrin, managing director of international production. Perrin oversees ITV Studios Australia, Lingo Pictures and a further 24 scripted and unscripted labels across Europe and Australia.

Richardson will report to David Mott, chief executive of ITV Studios Australia.
