Dalet Flex LTS Boosts AI Automation, Security And Dalia Integration
Dalet has unveiled the latest Long-Term Supported (LTS) version of Dalet Flex, its media workflow platform, adding intelligent automation from content acquisition and enrichment through to editing, packaging and delivery. The update builds on recent investments in usability, AI services and workflow modernisation to help teams create and distribute more content with greater speed, efficiency and oversight.
The release targets the mounting pressure on media organisations to serve more platforms with leaner teams and increasingly intricate processes. It expands AI-powered media intelligence through deeper automation and tighter integration with Dalia, Dalet’s media-aware agentic AI platform, enabling the next generation of intelligent workflows to be operationalised.
Security and acquisition capabilities are strengthened with support for OpenID Connect (OIDC), bringing modern identity management and secure user authentication across Dalet Flex environments. New role-based permissions in the Ingest Portal give administrators finer control over scheduling and recording, improving governance for distributed production teams.
A modernised Ingest Portal streamlines distributed live production with simplified scheduling, multi‑time‑zone visibility, FIFO scheduling for Dalet Brio, and broader format compatibility, including DNxHD for the Flex encoder. Together, these upgrades help live ingest scale across locations and time zones without adding risk or headcount.
Embedded AI features have been widened, with advanced vision models running directly within the Dalet Flex infrastructure so media is processed where it resides. As assets enter production, the platform can automatically generate descriptive metadata, identify objects, recognise emotional context and conduct content‑moderation analysis. This intelligence is surfaced in timeline‑based metadata and asset views to simplify understanding, search and repurposing throughout the asset lifecycle.
By creating rich metadata at ingest, organisations can cut manual logging and data indexing, improve discoverability and increase the long‑term value of their growing libraries.
Creative and finishing workflows also get a lift. Dalet Cut now offers automated background blur for vertical video, new subject‑tracking blur to protect identities and sensitive information, improved text positioning, and expanded image controls such as brightness and saturation. Editors can complete more finishing in situ, reducing the need for additional applications.
For distribution, updated workflow wizards simplify packaging, while new caption burn‑in within Dalet Flex Stream Processing brings accessibility and compliance tasks into automated delivery chains. Alongside expanded media format support, these improvements accelerate the path from acquisition to publication.
The LTS release further broadens Dalia’s role as an operational force multiplier. Any workflow in a Flex environment can be made available to Dalia through simple configuration—no custom development required—so teams can execute complex operations via natural language instead of navigating specialised interfaces. Dalia automatically discovers available workflows, while Workflow Designer lets teams choose which to expose. Once surfaced, Dalia understands each workflow’s structure and prompts users for required variables, turning complex processes into a guided conversation that preserves control, governance and transparency.
