VITEC Spotlights High-Density IP Encoding Benefits At IBC 2026

VITEC will present its latest IP video and distribution technologies at IBC 2026 (11-14 September, RAI Amsterdam, Stand 1.D19). These include Diamond‑IP OG, an openGear-compatible encoder that helps broadcasters carry more channels over IP without expanding rack space or network capacity.

Visitors to the VITEC stand can also see the latest release of the EZ TV IPTV platform, X-Player XP25 end-point, X-View Integrated Displays, and updates to WallControl 10 video wall management software. These latest additions and enhancements demonstrate how VITEC is helping broadcasters modernize video workflows and distribute content more efficiently.

"When we talk to broadcasters about moving to IP, the conversation usually comes back to practical aspects, like rack space and how much of their existing setup they can keep," says Nicolas Pons, VP of Sales and Customer Success at VITEC.

"Diamond‑IP OG came out of those conversations, and we're excited to demonstrate its capabilities at IBC. It lets engineering teams add channels and bring in SMPTE ST 2110 workflows using the racks and networks already in place, so they can update their technology at a pace that suits them. We'll have it running on the stand alongside the wider portfolio, so visitors can see how our technology helps partners do more with their existing IP infrastructure."

Diamond-IP OG addresses the practical limits engineering teams run into as channel counts rise and broadcast workflows move from SDI to IP, where every added channel typically demands more bandwidth and more rack space. It combines high-density HEVC (H.265) encoding with native SMPTE ST 2110 capture, carrying more streams while maintaing low latency and excellent image quality. Whether handling multiple HD signals or a single 4K feed, its advanced compression can cut bandwidth requirements by up to 50%, so more video moves over the same network. The card's openGear format also means extra channels can be added within existing racks rather than through new hardware.

The latest version of EZ TV, VITEC's IPTV and digital signage platform, will be running throughout the stand, showing how broadcast content can be distributed at scale over standard IP networks with impressively low glass-to-glass latency. Recent enhancements introduce enhanced synchronization capabilities for IPTV endpoints, ensuring more reliable and consistent content delivery across distributed environments.

A redesigned Dynamic Signage Module and new Sign Creator interface simplify content creation and management, while expanded system capacity now supports nearly 10,000 signs, enabling organizations to scale deployments with ease.
 
Security and operational control have also been strengthened through Active Directory authentication, enhanced auditing capabilities and broader system protections, making it especially well-suited for enterprise and government deployments, and the EZ TV media library now features AI-powered object detection to make finding relevant footage easier.
 
EZ TV also now features expanded video wall control capabilities through integration with VSN-series video wall controllers, and support for secure multicast IPTV environments.
 
Alongside EZ TV, VITEC will demonstrate X-Player XP25, a compact end-point for playback of live IPTV streams, video-on-demand content and digital signage. Its secure, hardware-based playback from fiber or copper networks makes it a highly dependable way to bring live feeds to screens throughout a broadcast center. Also on show is X-View, VITEC's range of integrated displays, which pairs purpose-built display hardware with the Avedia platform to give organizations a centrally managed signage option for offices, meeting rooms and public areas, with no separate external players or power supplies to install.

VITEC will also share news on WallControl 10, the video wall management software used to configure and drive its VSN-Series video wall controllers. The newly released WallControl 10 Web allows users to control video walls from any compatible browser. The interface allows users to choose walls, apply layouts, and preview what's currently displayed, giving them simplified control over their VSN-powered video walls.
