Cinegy Expands LiveMode Ingest Capacity

Cinegy GmbH, a leading provider of software-defined television technology, has expanded the ingest capabilities of Brazilian sports media company LiveMode through a collaboration with São Paulo-based systems integrator MDotti.

The move comes as LiveMode continues to scale its sports broadcasting and streaming operations across Brazil. The company has developed a broad sports rights and marketing strategy that connects audiences with live sports content across more than 10 platforms, including CazéTV, reaching an audience of more than 100 million people. LiveMode currently manages rights to major international sporting events, including the streaming and capture of the 2026 World Cup.

As LiveMode's operations have grown, the company has faced increasing demands for secure and agile content ingest, management and distribution. Handling multiple simultaneous streams while managing large volumes of media content requires efficient transcoding and formatting for a diverse range of delivery platforms.

LiveMode initially evaluated Cinegy Capture in 2024 through a proof-of-concept project managed by MDotti. Following the successful trial, the company purchased four licenses. LiveMode has now expanded its deployment with six additional licenses, bringing its total capacity to 18 full HD channels operating simultaneously around the clock in preparation for an intensive sports calendar in 2026.

"Cinegy Capture has proven to be an ideal platform for us, ensuring ingest recordings are managed, whatever the contribution feed: 4k coverage is routine today, and Cinegy is ready for 8k should that be needed," said Fabio Augusto Gomes Couto, Audiovisual Producer, LiveMode. "The agility of the software solution means we can deploy our licenses on the right hardware for each job, giving us an extremely powerful and completely flexible solution."

Cinegy's software-defined approach allows its technology to operate independently of specific hardware platforms, an advantage at a time when hardware pricing and availability continue to fluctuate. The flexibility is designed to help broadcasters and media organizations deploy scalable solutions while controlling costs.

“Cinegy is very fast and easy to deploy”, explained Henrique Jurgens, IT Infrastructure Architect, Media, Streaming, Cloud and OTT at LiveMode. “Once you receive the license, the operation can be running the same day. We are regularly working at many live sport events at the same time, and easy deployment of ingest and content management makes our entire operation run smoother.”

The latest expansion also reflects broader collaboration opportunities between the companies as LiveMode continues developing its technology infrastructure.
