Content Vault Partners With XMA
Content Vault has announced a strategic partnership with IT solutions provider XMA, naming the company its exclusive UK distribution partner, alongside the launch of a significant platform update designed to extend encryption capabilities across all file types.
The agreement will see XMA support the rollout of Content Vault across the UK market, helping organisations protect sensitive assets throughout production, post-production and distribution workflows.
The announcement marks an expansion for Content Vault, whose patent-pending platform is designed to protect high-value media from disclosure, theft and unauthorised access. The company said the partnership is intended to strengthen adoption of secure content workflows as organisations face increasing pressure to safeguard intellectual property.
"XMA is proud to partner with Content Vault to bring market-leading, device-specific encryption to our UK clients," said Darren Howe, Strategy, Commercial Development & ESG Director at XMA. "This collaboration enables customers to protect their most valuable and sensitive creative and commercial assets and enables secure collaboration throughout the production, post-production and distribution chain."
Alongside the partnership, Content Vault has introduced a major enhancement to its platform by extending end-to-end encryption to cover all file types, including compressed formats such as ZIP files. The company said the update will allow users to securely share, store and distribute a broad range of intellectual property, from individual media assets to larger project packages.
The enhancement builds on Content Vault’s existing approach of using device-specific encryption, ensuring files remain tied to designated devices and authorised credentials. According to the company, this security model helps maintain protection even if content is shared outside approved channels.
Chris Parsons, Managing Director of Content Vault, said: "During the recent ¡AU! Journal’s IP & Content Defence Summit, I underlined the simple truth that protecting creative IP requires solutions that are both robust and practical. Our partnership with XMA, together with our recent platform update, puts that principle into action. By extending device-bound, end-to-end encryption to every file type we are making it easier for studios, post houses and distributors to collaborate efficiently while maintaining control over sensitive assets. This is about giving rights holders confidence that their work remains theirs, wherever it travels."
The announcement comes amid growing demand for secure content workflows across the media and entertainment industry, driven by increasing regulatory requirements and commercial pressure to protect intellectual property throughout global production pipelines. Content Vault said its latest platform enhancements are intended to address these challenges by embedding encryption at every stage of the production lifecycle.
