Klvr to Challenge Single-Use Battery Dependency at InfoComm 2026
Klvr will showcase how venues, integrators, and production teams are rethinking disposable battery usage at InfoComm 2026 in Las Vegas from June 17–19 at Booth #N6311. Long treated as a background operational issue, single-use battery dependency is increasingly coming under scrutiny as the live entertainment and pro AV markets look to reduce costs, simplify production workflows, and improve hardware reliability. Klvr's Charger Pro enables teams to eliminate the financial and environmental impacts of single-use batteries with a professional-grade, rechargeable alternative.
"When you're running live events, the last thing you want your team thinking about is batteries," said Nick Jenkins, Central Production Director at Rock City Church. "Since moving to Klvr, battery management has essentially disappeared from our workflow. As a centrally supported organization, having visibility into battery status and inventory across locations allows us to stay ahead of issues and deploy resources where they're needed without having technical staff on the ground at every site. That kind of oversight keeps our teams effective and gives us confidence that every location is set up for success. It's simplified our operation, reduced waste, lowered costs, and allowed our team to focus on what matters most – creating a great experience for the people we serve."
Austin Harman, CEO at audio, video and lighting integration company The Penn Group, said: "For venues and facilities using thousands of AA batteries every year, working with pro-grade rechargeables makes a lot of sense. Consumer rechargeables weren't designed for professional pro audio devices, and many of our customers have been looking for a better alternative. With Klvr, we're offering churches, theaters and corporate venues a cost-efficient, sustainable option that performs reliably in live environments and improves day-to-day operations while saving costs for the end user."
Houses of worship, venues, studios, universities and corporate facilities often rely on disposable AA and AAA batteries because existing rechargeable alternatives fail to deliver the voltage, reliability and flexibility required in professional live settings. Klvr's rechargeable battery solution is purpose-built for professional audio environments. It provides a simple, flexible and affordable alternative comprising a lightweight, 1U 19" rack-mounted charger with capacity for 48 high-performance, standard-sized Klvr AA and AAA batteries supporting compatible devices from any manufacturer. Each battery provides 1200 charging cycles and a 30% higher runtime than regular commercial rechargeables, significantly reducing costs per performance across venues, presentations, festivals or lectures.
Nick Bruce-Smith, director of wireless audio specialist Handheld Audio, added: "We knew we had to change to rechargeable but previous solutions hadn't delivered the reliability we needed. All of the tests we did proved their batteries beat anything we've tried before. We've simplified daily operations and cut the guesswork for technicians managing large device inventories – all while significantly reducing battery waste for us and our clients."
"We're reaching a turning point as venues and integrators recognise the clear operational and financial benefits of moving away from disposable batteries," said Stian Sagholen, CEO and Founder, Klvr. "The industry has spent years looking for an affordable, professional-grade rechargeable solution that delivers the reliability required for live environments. We're seeing huge momentum globally as more businesses realise they can dramatically reduce battery waste, lower costs and simplify how their teams work with smarter charging models."
Visitors to InfoComm 2026 can see the solution hands-on at Klvr's booth #N6311.
