Harmonic To Showcase AI-Powered Fibre Innovations At Fiber Connect 2026

Harmonic will unveil a slate of new technologies at Fiber Connect 2026 designed to help fibre service providers move to proactive operations at scale, extend reliable deployments into hard-to-reach locations and simplify back-office integration across multi-vendor environments.

"At Harmonic, our priority is to empower broadband service providers to deliver the best possible connectivity experience to every subscriber," said Yaniv Ben-Soussan, senior vice president of cloud and intelligence platform at Harmonic. "Our exciting new solutions at this year's Fiber Connect bring AI-powered intelligence, resilient infrastructure and operational simplicity to fiber networks, enabling operators to scale efficiently, reduce complexity and evolve seamlessly."

Harmonic will debut a new AI-powered network operations intelligence solution that shifts operators from reactive fixes to proactive performance management. By augmenting decision-making with data-driven insights, the approach aims to enhance subscriber experience and retention while reducing operational overheads.

To enable dependable fibre rollout in underserved and rural areas, Harmonic is introducing the Pearl-1XL R-OLT module, which integrates eight Combo PON (GPON/XGS) ports in a new outdoor node engineered for demanding outside plant conditions. Addressing power and uplink reliability constraints, it is delivered at a fraction of the cost of traditional outdoor cabinets to lower CAPEX and OPEX and speed expansion.

Complementing this, the new Jetty-3 hardened remote node switch module reduces fibre utilisation by up to 12x. Supporting 12x 25G downlinks, 2x100G uplinks and high-powered long-range coherent optics, Jetty-3 enables longer reaches and more connections without additional fibre, helping operators activate more services and serve more subscribers on existing infrastructure.

Harmonic is also launching a low-code back-office integration platform to connect, automate and unify orchestration and management across disparate OSS/BSS and network systems. Designed to eliminate lengthy, bespoke projects, the platform enables integrations in weeks rather than months, reduces order fallout, automates service activation and assurance, and provides a unified operational view. It can be deployed alongside Harmonic's fibre solutions or as a standalone offering in mixed-vendor networks.

Among other updates, Harmonic will add Fin-Lite and Fin-2 to its Fin SFP-based OLT family managed by the cOS virtualised core. Fin-Lite targets cost-efficient GPON deployments, while Fin-2 brings Combo PON (GPON/XGS-PON) on the same port to serve subscribers without duplication. The family's pay-as-you-grow model maintains a clear upgrade path to 50G PON and beyond.

Harmonic will also contribute to conference discussions. Hy Huynh, vice president of fibre products, will join the panel "Actionable Blueprints for Practical, Scalable, and Repeatable MDU Deployment Plans" on Tuesday, 19 May at 8:00 a.m.

Fiber Connect 2026 takes place 18–19 May in Kissimmee, Florida. Harmonic will be in booth 719. More information and meeting requests: www.harmonicinc.com/events/fiber-connect. Details on Harmonic's fibre portfolio: www.harmonicinc.com/broadband/solutions.

Harmonic's market-leading cOS platform powers next-generation broadband services across nearly 41 million CPE devices for operators in North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
