Zixi Showcases Interoperable Live Video Workflows And Satellite Replacement
Zixi, a leader in live video delivery and workflow orchestration, will use NAB Show 2026 to demonstrate how interoperable live video workflows across multi-vendor environments help broadcasters, sports organisations, digital platforms and content owners avoid vendor lock-in while modernising infrastructure.
The company will showcase how to transition from legacy systems and scale distribution and monetisation with greater control, reliability and cost efficiency.
"The industry is moving quickly toward IP-based distribution as broadcasters reassess satellite and legacy delivery models," said Marc Aldrich, CEO of Zixi. "At NAB 2026, Zixi will demonstrate how our platform supports the modernization and evolution of live video workflows that includes real-world satellite replacement strategies, enabling customers to deploy flexible, reliable, and interoperable workflows across hybrid environments."
Across its stand and with partners on the show floor, Zixi will stage live demonstrations highlighting centralised control and orchestration, dynamic market switching for flexible real-time content distribution, end-to-end IP-based contribution and distribution as scalable alternatives to satellite, and seamless interoperability across partner ecosystems in real-world deployments.
Zixi will also run AWS Builder Lab sessions where attendees can build an end-to-end broadcast pipeline in AWS using the Zixi Platform and ZEN Master. Participants will deploy a broadcaster, ingest content, set up distribution channels, create HLS workflows with AWS Media Services, and apply rights management controls. Registration details: zixi.com/zixi-aws-builder-lab-at-nab-26/.
At booth W2057, Zixi will spotlight practical workflows in five focus areas: Satellite Transition for Broadcasters, offering reliable, cost-effective IP-based alternatives for critical contribution and distribution without compromising quality or resilience; Satellite Transition for Sports Entities, delivering flexible, cloud-enabled live sports contribution and distribution to reduce satellite dependency and improve scalability; Ingest for Digital Platforms and vMVPDs, aggregating, normalising and processing multi-source live feeds for consistent, broadcast-quality inputs; B2B Distribution for Content Owners, enabling secure, scalable delivery of live content to affiliates, partners and platforms worldwide; and Live Event Contribution and Processing, providing end-to-end, low-latency workflows with high reliability and operational control.
The showcase aligns with recent industry analysis from Caretta Research examining the acceleration of satellite replacement and the expanding role of IP-based distribution, driven by cost pressures, spectrum shifts and demand for more flexible, scalable models.
Zixi will further contribute to satellite replacement discussions at an executive breakfast bringing together senior broadcasters and technology providers to explore real-world challenges, migration strategies and emerging architectures as the sector shifts towards IP and cloud-based delivery.
