Sound Events Expands Rental Inventory

Dutch rental company Sound Events has strengthened its audio inventory with a major investment in Martin Audio's TORUS and FlexPoint systems, enhancing its capabilities across festivals and high-end corporate events.

Founded in 2004, Sound Events has built a strong reputation in both the festival market and the corporate sector. For owner Mark Staals, upgrading to Martin Audio's latest technology was a natural progression after years of success with the brand’s legacy WT2 and W8LC compact line arrays.

"Martin Audio is a brand that simply does what you expect of it. It is reliable, powerful, and has been at the top for years," said Staals. "For us, it was essential that a new investment would offer that same trusted sound, but with today's technology."

During a routine visit to Martin Audio's Dutch distributor, Ampco Flashlight Sales, Staals tested the latest systems. A showroom demonstration highlighted the output and coverage capabilities of the constant curvature TORUS Series, which he immediately identified as an ideal match for Sound Events' production needs.

The TORUS T1215 and T1230 are compact, passive, two-way 12-inch loudspeakers designed for medium-scale applications. With ease of use, scalability, and flexible deployment, they can be arranged in vertical or horizontal constant curvature arrays of up to six enclosures, or used individually as point-source loudspeakers.

In addition to TORUS, Sound Events expanded its inventory with the FlexPoint Series, selected for its versatility across a wide range of productions. Following a thorough evaluation, the final specification includes TORUS T1215 and T1230 enclosures, FlexPoint point-source speakers, SX118 subwoofers, and iKON amplification.
