Cine Gear Connect NY Sets Full-Day Programme

Cine Gear Connect NY, presented by Universal Production Services, is finalising a packed schedule of panels, learning and networking, running from breakfast through to happy hour.

Returning to Industry City in Brooklyn, the day opens with ICG IATSE Local 600's 'Realising the Shot: Relationships, Attitudes & Protocol'. Moderated by Michael Chambliss, ICG Local 600 Asst Western Region Director, the session features Local 600 DP Aaron Medick, SOC ('Mr. Robot', 'Power', 'Power Book II: Ghost', 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan' (S1, 4, 5)), Steadicam and A‑Camera Operator Gareth Manwaring, and camera technician Michael Garofalo, exploring the relationships, attitudes and protocols that define top-tier union camera teams.

Attendees will also get behind-the-scenes insights from gaffers Noah Chamis, ICLS ('Only Murders in the Building', 'Count My Lies', 'You Deserve Each Other', 'Project Runway') and Ryan Webb, ICLS ('Dexter: Resurrection', 'Joker: Folie à Deux', 'Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire'), who will discuss 'Lighting That New York Look' with moderator Michael Valinsky (The Making Of podcast).

After lunch, the focus turns to career development at the 'Got Agent? Got Publicist' panel. Following a break to explore the tech exhibits, Zeiss presents Madison Avenue photographer Douglas Dubler on the passion of lensing the perfect shot and turning it into the perfect print.

For the finale, Cine Gear Connect will host The ASC Panel with cinematographers William Rexer ASC, Claudia Raschke, ASC, Jeffrey Waldron ASC, and Vanja Cernjul, ASC, joining moderator Dejan Georgevich, ASC for 'Cinematographers' Creative Process – Deconstructing Scenes'. The day wraps at 5:00 with the Cine Gear Industry Mixer, offering opportunities to reconnect with colleagues and make new contacts.
