Venera Technologies To Debut QC Upgrades Across Quasar, Pulsar, CapMate And QCtudio

News Image
Venera Technologies will unveil substantial updates across its flagship quality control portfolio — Quasar® cloud-native A/V QC, Pulsar™ on-premise A/V QC, CapMate® cloud-native caption/subtitle QC, and the QCtudio® collaborative QC review platform — at the 2026 NAB Show (19–22 April, Las Vegas, NV, Booth W1867).

The enhancements target broadcasters, OTT platforms, localisation providers, and post-production teams, aiming to boost efficiency and accuracy in contemporary media workflows through advanced automation, AI-driven caption processing, and collaborative QC tools.

For Quasar® and Pulsar™, Venera will demonstrate new A/V QC capabilities that further reinforce automated media validation. Key additions include automated lip-sync detection, slate metadata reporting, and chroma saturation validation to support technical compliance and video quality. The release also brings role-based user management via QCentral and integrates QCtudio with Pulsar, delivering improved collaboration and review for Pulsar users.

CapMate® gains major AI-led caption and subtitle enhancements. New features comprise AI-powered subtitle generation with built-in QC validation, subtitle redundancy and language detection, burnt-in subtitle analysis, and extraneous subtitle detection. Further refinements — including punctuation QC with auto-suggestions, editor updates with waveform visualisation, PAC subtitle format support, and bulk subtitle export — streamline subtitle creation, validation, and correction workflows.

QCtudio® continues to evolve as a powerful hub for reviewing A/V QC reports and enabling team collaboration. The latest updates introduce project sign-off notifications, event logging for complete audit trails, and enhanced timeline and alert visualisation with synchronised thumbnails and waveforms. Users also gain graphical analysis of media properties and QC violations, covering loudness metrics and video quality indicators such as SSIM, PSNR, chroma saturation, and luma range.

Attendees at NAB Show 2026 (Booth W1867) can see live demonstrations of these innovations and learn how Venera’s QC solutions help media organisations automate quality control, improve subtitle compliance, and streamline content delivery workflows.
