Magewell To Debut New 4K IP Decoder

News Image
Magewell will showcase a range of new products and technology integrations at the NAB Show 2026, where it will exhibit at booth C6113.

The company is set to unveil the Pro Convert IP to AIO 4K decoder, the latest addition to its next-generation multi-format IP decoding lineup. The device builds on the recently introduced Pro Convert IP to HDMI, adding 4K decoding at 60 frames per second, along with output via HDMI 2.0 and 12G-SDI, and support for HDR10 and HLG.

Designed for broad compatibility, the new decoder supports a wide range of IP and streaming protocols, including NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX2, NDI HX3, and formats such as H.264 and H.265 delivered via SRT, RTMP, RTSP, HLS, MPEG-TS, Zixi and RIST. An integrated multi-viewer enables monitoring of up to four HD IP streams simultaneously in dual or quad layouts.

Magewell will also highlight updates to its Ultra Encode product family, which is widely used for encoding HDMI or SDI sources for live streaming and recording. Firmware updates for the Ultra Encode HDMI Plus, Ultra Encode SDI Plus and Ultra Encode AIO models introduce support for NDI 6.3 and the Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST) protocol. The NDI update enables device discovery within NDI Tools, while RIST integration improves the reliability of live video delivery over unmanaged networks.

In addition, the company will demonstrate an updated version of its Control Hub software, designed to provide centralized management of multiple Magewell devices across different locations. The new version features an enhanced user interface aimed at supporting larger deployments, particularly those using the Modator platform.

The Modator system offers a high-density, rackmount solution, with each 2U chassis capable of housing up to 10 hot-swappable modules, bringing the functionality of standalone encoding and decoding devices into a scalable format.
