VITEC Launches ISR Video Solution

VITEC has launched an integrated ISR video mission commander solution designed to simplify the capture, distribution and management of video across modern military operations.

The system combines VITEC's ultra-low-latency encoding hardware with its EZ TV video distribution platform, enabling secure, real-time video delivery across mobile, airborne and command environments.

"In today's complex operational environments, the challenge is no longer access to data, it is the ability to transform multiple sensor feeds into clear, real-time situational awareness. By enabling secure, ultra-low-latency video distribution across the entire mission chain, VITEC empowers commanders to make faster, more informed decisions when it matters most," said Ghassan Dadokh, Regional Head of Defence & Security Senior Business Development Manager at VITEC.

The solution is designed to address the growing volume of ISR video generated by modern military assets, including drones, unmanned ground vehicles, fixed cameras and mobile platforms. These systems often produce large amounts of data that can be difficult to manage due to siloed infrastructures, inconsistent formats and latency challenges.

VITEC's platform integrates encoders into forward-deployed assets such as vehicles, portable ground stations and UGVs, allowing HD and 4K video feeds to be transmitted over RF, LTE or satellite communications into command networks. Through the EZ TV platform, personnel at all levels can access and manage live, recorded and on-demand video via a unified interface, including on rugged mobile devices in the field.

The system supports standard streaming protocols, MISB and KLV metadata, as well as AES-256 encryption, ensuring compatibility with existing command-and-control and ISR architectures. It is designed to operate across single-site, multi-site and coalition environments while maintaining secure and reliable video distribution.

According to VITEC, the combination of hardware-based processing, efficient codecs and centralised management helps reduce operational complexity, improve responsiveness and provide a consistent real-time operational picture for mission-critical decision-making.
