RØDE Sponsors Content Creation Sector
RØDE has been confirmed as the official sponsor of the Content Creation Technology Sector at Mediatech Africa 2026, organisers have announced.
The exhibition brings together professionals from across the Pro AV, broadcast, live production and media technology industries. While the event has traditionally focused on high-end film, studio and broadcast equipment, organisers say the rapidly evolving content landscape has led to the introduction of the new sector.
Short-form video, podcasts, live streaming, online learning and in-house brand content have become increasingly common forms of communication since the show last took place in 2019, prompting the expansion.
Simon Robinson, Expo Director of Mediatech Africa, said the new sector reflects a growing community of creators and organisations producing their own professional content.
"The content landscape has shifted. While film and broadcast remain core to the show, we’re seeing strong growth in creators, educators and corporate teams producing their own professional content. The Content Creation sector reflects that change and brings a new and expanding audience to Mediatech."
The Content Creation Technology Sector will showcase compact and flexible production tools aimed at marketers, podcasters, educators, digital creators and corporate production teams. Exhibits will include compact cameras, lighting kits, mobile production gear, streaming tools and audio systems designed for efficient workflows without the need for full studio infrastructure.
RØDE, a global manufacturer of creator-focused audio and video equipment designed and engineered in Australia, said the sponsorship aligns with its focus on supporting content creators and the wider creator economy.
Jason Sutherland, Marketing Manager at RØDE South Africa, said: "RØDE is proud to sponsor the Content Creation sector at Mediatech Africa 2026. The creator economy in South Africa continues to grow and professionalise. We believe it is important to support platforms that bring together technology and talent while developing industry collaboration.
"As a brand focused on delivering accessible professional audio and video solutions, this sector aligns naturally with our commitment to empowering local creators at every level. We look forward to showcasing the breadth of the RØDE ecosystem, from wireless microphone systems to integrated video production solutions, and engaging directly with the community."
Organisers expect the sector to attract marketers, digital agencies, educators, podcasters, influencers and in-house production teams seeking efficient ways to produce professional content at scale.
Mediatech Africa 2026 will take place from 30 June to 2 July at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg, South Africa.
