ENCO Unveils Raptor
ENCO is expanding its award-winning captioning, subtitling, and translation portfolio with the introduction of Raptor, a cloud-based encoder designed for fast deployment in live AV and broadcast environments.
ISE 2026 marks Raptor's AV industry debut following previews at IBC and NAB New York, positioning the solution alongside ENCO’s established enCaption and enTranslate platforms. ENCO will showcase the latest features and enhancements across all three solutions at Stand EA780.
Built on a pure software infrastructure, Raptor provides a simple and immediate method for embedding captions and subtitles into live program streams originating from any location. Hosted by long-time ENCO partner StreamGuys, the platform delivers a secure and reliable live-streaming captioning service for producers serving government, education, broadcast, live sports, corporate, worship, and other event sectors across television and streaming platforms.
"Raptor was introduced to take live content from any broadcast, AV, or hybrid source, embed captions, and send that content back out in real time," said Ken Frommert, President, ENCO. "This is an essential need for cloud-based and decentralised workflows, which are now the norm for many live event producers. As hosted on the StreamGuys infrastructure with no physical encoder to maintain, customers have an agile solution that is quick to configure with the ability to inject captions at nearly any stage."
While cloud-based workflows continue to gain momentum, many AV environments still prefer or require on-premises solutions for generating captions, subtitles, and time-stamped transcripts. ENCO addresses this need through its broader product portfolio. Deployable on-premises, in the cloud, or in hybrid configurations, enCaption combines machine learning with advanced speech-to-text conversion and grammatical structure analysis to deliver high accuracy with extremely low latency. When paired with enTranslate, the system provides a seamless and interoperable solution for serving multilingual and accessibility needs in classrooms, courtrooms, meeting spaces, and live staged events.
At ISE 2026, ENCO will also unveil its latest AI-driven voice fingerprinting technology, offering a new approach to speaker identification. The technology enhances captioning and translation workflows by dynamically identifying individual speakers from a single-stream audio mix.
"Across our entire award-winning portfolio, ENCO continues to accentuate accessibility, clear comprehension and language support as core components of modern AV, broadcast and live content production," added Frommert.
ISE 2026 takes place from February 3–6 at the Fira de Barcelona in Spain.
