Miri Technologies Unveils V410 Live 4K Encoder/Decoder

Miri Technologies Inc. has announced the launch of its new V410 live 4K video encoder/decoder, designed for live streaming, IP-based production workflows and AV-over-IP distribution.

The new device combines a strong focus on usability with advanced functionality, broad format support and robust connectivity, including integrated Wi-Fi 7.

The V410 will make its world trade show debut at ISE 2026 in Barcelona, taking place from February 3 to 6, where it will be exhibited on stand 4G550 alongside Miri’s European master distributor, Riwit.

"Encoding and decoding should be about more than just formats and features," said Ryan Brenneman, Co-Founder and CTO of Miri Technologies. "An easy and efficient user experience is just as important as specifications. The Miri V410 encoder/decoder is designed to be simple enough for less-technical users and volunteers but offers deep enough controls and advanced capabilities to delight experienced producers and media engineers."

The V410 is configurable as either an encoder or a decoder. In encoder mode, it can handle one live 4K Ultra HD stream at up to 60 frames per second or two simultaneous 2K QHD channels. As a decoder, it supports the concurrent decoding of two 4K Ultra HD streams from a wide range of supported formats. Connectivity options include HDMI, 3G-SDI and USB video interfaces, all with embedded audio support.

For live streaming applications, the V410 supports H.264 and H.265 encoding and decoding across multiple protocols, including SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, HLS, TS over UDP and RTSP. In AV-over-IP environments, the device supports NDI HX2 and NDI HX3 encoding, along with decoding for those formats and NDI High Bandwidth. It can also transcode NDI inputs directly into streaming formats.

Miri will also preview upcoming support for the emerging Open Media Transport (OMT) open-source protocol at ISE 2026, highlighting future expansion of the platform.
The user-focused design extends to the physical hardware, which includes an integrated LCD display with front-panel menu and shortcut buttons for local monitoring and control. A prominent tally light ring and dedicated VU meters provide immediate visual feedback, while a front-mounted headphone jack enables convenient audio monitoring in rack-mounted installations.

Networking is a key focus of the V410, featuring built-in Wi-Fi 7, described as a first for professional video encoding and decoding hardware. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports support redundancy or multi-network configurations, with Power over Ethernet available on one port. The unit can also be paired with Miri's X510 dual-cellular bonding router for enhanced connectivity resilience.

Compact in form, the V410 measures 210mm x 142mm x 43.5mm and can be deployed on a desktop or in a rack. In addition to live streaming, the device supports local recording to a microSD card or an external USB drive, providing additional flexibility for production workflows.
