Sky Names Lisa Clark As Commissioning Executive For SNL UK

Sky has appointed Lisa Clark as Commissioning Executive on Saturday Night Live UK, joining the unscripted entertainment division led by Phil Edgar-Jones to help shape the series for Sky audiences.

Clark is a prominent creative figure in British entertainment and comedy, with a career spanning many of the UK’s best-known television programmes and live events.

Her Executive Producer credits include the BAFTA-nominated Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing, Top Gear and Daisy May & Charlie Cooper's NightWatch, alongside major live broadcasts such as the BAFTA TV Awards and Comic Relief.

As a producer, she has worked on cult favourites including My Dad Wrote A Porno, Shooting Stars, League of Gentlemen Live Again, and Vic & Bob’s Big Night Out. She has also held senior roles at BBC Entertainment and LWT, helping to shape British comedy for more than two decades.

Sky Original Saturday Night Live UK will debut on Sky and streaming service NOW, with details on the UK launch — including cast, hosts, musical guests and premiere date — to be announced in due course.

This first British adaptation of the long-running institution will mirror the original’s live, fast-paced format, featuring a new core cast of comedy players, guest hosts and musical performances.

As previously revealed, James Longman (Lead Producer), Liz Clare (Director) and Daran Jonno Johnson (Head Writer) will head up the production, direction and writing teams.

The series is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK production team and Broadway Video for Sky and NOW. UTAS UK Productions is overseen by Managing Director Helen Kruger Bratt. Shanna Baynard will serve as Executive in Charge of Production; Andy Charles Smith is the Lead Producer for UTAS UK Productions, alongside Sam Salter, Production Executive. SNL UK was commissioned by Phil Edgar-Jones, Executive Director of Unscripted Originals, and Lisa Clark is Commissioning Executive at Sky, for Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios & Chief Content Officer for Sky.
