KLANG Launches Pocket-Sized Immersive IEM Mixers

News Image
KLANG:technologies has unveiled two new ultra-compact immersive in-ear monitor processors, KLANG:1 and KLANG:1pro, at The NAMM Show, making their global debut at stand #17901 (DiGiCo).

The new units are billed as the smallest processors the company has ever produced and are designed to deliver professional immersive monitoring at significantly lower price points.

Both KLANG:1 and KLANG:1pro provide a single immersive mix from up to 64 input channels, offering what the company describes as the most affordable entry into immersive in-ear monitoring currently available to the professional audio and music industry.

"Our new KLANG:1 and KLANG:1pro bring immersive in-ear mixing down to a totally new size and cost category, opening the KLANG world to considerably more engineers and artists by lowering the entry price barrier," said KLANG CEO Dr. Roman Scharrer. "Despite their highly-portable design and amazing value, they are every bit a pro-grade product that delivers the full KLANG mixing experience with the same low latency and breathtaking immersive clarity."

Measuring just 30 x 108 x 123 mm and weighing 0.35 kg, the new processors are designed for portability while maintaining professional performance standards. They offer plug-and-play operation with control and monitoring available via phone, tablet or PC, alongside native integration with DiGiCo Quantum and SD-Range consoles.

KLANG:1 and KLANG:1pro deliver the same 0.25ms latency found in the company’s flagship KLANG:konductor and are built on the same FPGA technology. Both units are powered and configured via USB-C, eliminating the need for an external power supply.
According to the company, the new devices have been designed to fit seamlessly into real-world production workflows. Engineers can introduce immersive in-ear monitoring at any scale, from individual performers to full band setups, without changing existing tools or operational methods.

The two models are largely identical, with a key technical distinction. KLANG:1 features dual MADI I/O, while KLANG:1pro adds a second MADI input, enabling full 64-channel MADI I/O at 96 kHz, along with redundant 64×64 Dante connectivity and single-channel routing. This positions KLANG:1pro as one of the most affordable Dante and MADI converters in its class.
