ALT Systems Launches PixSpan Data

ALT Systems, Inc., a system integrator and technology solutions provider for the media and entertainment industry, has announced the launch of PixSpan Data, Inc. alongside the availability of the PixMover Platform.

PixSpan Data was established following ALT Systems' acquisition of the core intellectual property of Pixspan, Inc. in 2023, a move that has brought renewed focus and investment to advanced lossless data compression technology.

The launch marks the reintroduction of the PixMover Platform, which will be publicly demonstrated for the first time at the 2026 HPA Tech Retreat, taking place from February 15 to 19 in Rancho Mirage, California. The platform is built on patented Bit Exact Round Trip lossless compression technology and supports high-bit depth and uncompressed imaging formats. It is designed to address increasing data movement demands across 4K and 8K production, visual effects, satellite imaging and medical imaging workflows.

The acquired intellectual property enables mathematically lossless compression, typically reducing large raw image files by between 50 and 80 percent while preserving data fidelity and integrity. Since the acquisition, PixSpan Data has developed PixMover from a specialised software application into a fully integrated platform that combines proprietary software with optimised hardware.

Offered as a turnkey solution, the PixMover Platform is intended to simplify deployment while delivering predictable, real-time data acceleration and migration. By transmitting substantially less data, it helps reduce transfer times, lower storage requirements and minimise cloud egress costs, while also freeing network capacity for critical operations.
PixSpan Data will showcase the PixMover Platform at the 2026 HPA Tech Retreat in February, followed by demonstrations at NAB Show 2026, taking place from April 19 to 22 in Las Vegas.
