Acer Highlights Digital Wellbeing And Modular Design At BETT 2026
Acer will showcase its latest education-focused technologies at BETT 2026 from 21 to 23 January, exhibiting at stand NJ71 and ICC Suite 13.
The Taiwanese technology company is using the event to underline its commitment to digital wellbeing, sustainability and interactive learning in the classroom.
Acer EMEA is presenting a renewed strategy for education that prioritises student wellbeing, responsible screen use and easily repairable devices designed to reduce costs and waste in schools.
Acer for Education now guarantees TÜV Low Blue Light certification across all products dedicated to schools, helping to reduce blue light exposure and limit eye strain for both students and teachers. In addition, Acer’s User Sensing technology introduces features such as Break Reminder, Screen Distance Reminder and intelligent Auto-lock, all designed to promote healthier screen habits and more mindful device use.
The company is also expanding interactivity in the classroom, particularly for younger pupils. New devices aimed at primary education include a second integrated camera built into the keyboard, enabling students to take photos and videos directly from their device. This allows projects, experiments and laboratory activities to be documented without the need for smartphones.
Sustainability remains a central focus, with Acer continuing to develop increasingly modular designs that simplify repairs and extend product lifespans. By reducing repair times and costs, the company aims to significantly lower environmental impact. Acer has also extended Serviceable IO Ports to the education sector, allowing USB ports on the side of Chromebooks to be replaced independently, rather than requiring a full motherboard replacement.
"These innovations," explained Roberto Rosaschino, Sr Business Manager for Education and Sustainability at Acer EMEA, "are shared as part of Acer's Education pathway, developed in collaboration with European Schoolnet. This expands the concept of ‘digital wellbeing’ to embrace a broader vision that combines responsible technology use with social experiences and attention to students’ health. Technology thus becomes even more of a user-centric tool, adaptable and at the service of people."
With its latest generation of education devices, Acer for Education aims to equip schools with tools that support a balanced and mindful use of technology, aligned with modern educational goals and wellbeing-focused learning environments.
