DPA Microphones Unveils DPK2015 Piano Stereo Kit

DPA Microphones has introduced the DPK2015 Piano Stereo Kit, a plug-and-play solution designed to make piano miking quicker to set up while preserving the instrument’s natural character.

The launch broadens the brand's dedicated piano line-up to three kits — the DPK2015, DPK4099 CORE+ and DPK4011 — all of which will be showcased at the 2026 NAMM Show (Booth 16103).

Centred on a stereo pair of 2015 Wide Cardioid Microphones, the DPK2015 is engineered for rapid deployment and precise capture. Custom mounts and accessories enable secure, low-vibration attachment with a wide range of placement options, whether the lid is open or closed. The configuration aims to deliver a natural, balanced stereo image that translates the instrument's subtleties across genres, from classical recitals to pop, jazz and touring productions.

The DPK2015 package includes two 2015 microphones, a pair of GM1500 Gooseneck Mounts, DAO2015 microphone cables with XLR connectors, an SB0400 Lightweight Stereo Boom, DUA0020 foam windscreens and a compact protective case. The combination is intended to provide a durable, travel-ready rig that can be assembled in minutes for professional results on stage or in the studio.

Alongside the DPK2015, DPA offers the DPK4099 CORE+ Piano Stereo Kit — a compact, highly flexible option built around a selected stereo pair of loud SPL 4099 CORE+ Instrument Mics. Emphasising consistency, isolation and mobility, it suits tight stage layouts and discreet placement, and is particularly effective on loud stages due to the microphones’ directionality and isolation characteristics. The kit ships with two piano clips, two DAD9001 MicroLock to three-pin XLR adapters, a pair of MicroLock extension cables and a zip case.

For premium recording and performance environments, the DPK4011 Piano Stereo Kit features a matched stereo pair of 4011ES Cardioid Pencil Microphones. Favoured for classical and acoustic productions, it targets the warmest, richest and most detailed sound with broad placement freedom and superior fidelity. Accessories include two suspension mounts, two modular gooseneck mounts, one shock mount, a compact XY/ORTF stereo holder, a pair of MMP-E mic preamp clips, a pair of foam windscreens and a protective carrying case.
