Ted Returns: Season Two Of Seth MacFarlane's Prequel Lands On Sky And NOW In March 2026

Seth MacFarlane's live-action prequel series Ted will return to Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK and Ireland in March 2026, with all episodes of its second series released at once.

Set in the 1990s after Ted's fleeting fame has faded, the series follows the foul‑mouthed bear (voiced by MacFarlane) back in Framingham, Massachusetts, living with his best friend, 17-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), John’s parents Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach), and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham). Ted may be a questionable influence, but he remains a fiercely loyal companion.

In a joint note, executive producer, writer, director and co-showrunner Seth MacFarlane, and executive producers, writers and co-showrunners Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh, said: "We've made a second season of our show Ted which we are excited to share with you. The episodes represent the hard work of our fellow writers, gifted actors, and talented crew, including the visual effects team who bring the character of Ted so convincingly to life."

They added: "We hope you enjoy these eight somewhat filthy, hopefully funny heartfelt episodes about a young man, his talking teddy bear, and their highly dysfunctional family. On the off chance the series is not your cup of tea, a great way to get us back is to leave all the episodes playing to completion on multiple devices throughout the house. That'll show us."

For the second series, MacFarlane serves as executive producer, writer, director and co-showrunner alongside Corrigan and Walsh, with Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark and Aimee Carlson (Fuzzy Door) also executive producing. The regular cast features MacFarlane as Ted, with Burkholder, Ubach, Grimes and Whigham.

Ted is produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, along with Fuzzy Door and MRC, and is distributed by NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution. The series was acquired for Sky by Katie Keenan and Lucy Criddle.
