Rea Sound AV Clinches Two Titles At UK AV Awards 2025

Cookstown-based audio-visual firm Rea Sound AV has celebrated a remarkable double success at the 2025 UK AV Awards, becoming the first company from Ireland to secure wins in two categories at the industry’s leading showcase for design, integration and innovation.'
Held at London’s Evolution in front of more than 1,400 industry professionals, the event honoured the company’s work with Mid Ulster District Council and McConnell’s Distillery in Belfast.

Against international competition from Europe, the USA and Asia, Rea Sound AV captured both Public Sector Project of the Year and Corporate Project of the Year, marking a milestone that underscores its rising profile for world-class AV delivery.

For Mid Ulster District Council, the company deployed a fully integrated discussion and meeting platform that streamlines hybrid participation, electronic voting and live streaming, enabling a modern, paperless workflow to improve efficiency and collaboration.

"This project has completely transformed how council meetings are run," said Roger McMullan, Director at Rea Sound AV. "We've made something incredibly complex feel seamless and intuitive, allowing councillors to focus on decision-making rather than technology."

Judges commended the innovation, resourcefulness and professionalism demonstrated, noting Rea Sound’s success in delivering a seamlessly integrated, future-ready environment tailored to the Council’s stringent requirements while boosting functionality, user experience and long-term value.

In Belfast, Rea Sound AV partnered with McConnell’s Distillery to build a premium visitor experience combining heritage, storytelling and brand engagement. The system supports multiple concurrent tours to increase capacity and tourism potential, with immersive visuals, wireless control and intuitive operation for staff.

Judges highlighted the technical excellence and creativity achieved within the uniquely demanding backdrop of a Grade A listed former prison, crediting Rea Sound with helping transform the historic site into a world-class destination.
