Pixellot Unveils New AI Revenue-Share Model
Pixellot has announced a major expansion of its commitment to Australian grassroots sport, introducing a new AI-driven revenue-share model and appointing a regional commercial leader.
Dean Anglin, a highly regarded sports executive credited with more than a decade of influence in the growth of Australian basketball, will join Pixellot as Chief Commercial Officer for Australia and New Zealand on January 5, 2026. Anglin is widely known for his leadership in the national rollout of NBL1 and brings extensive industry connections and experience in developing scalable sporting programs.
The announcement comes shortly after Pixellot extended its partnership with U.S. fan-engagement platform PlayOn Sports for a further five years and follows the company’s latest investment round, which raised 35 million US dollars.
Pixellot's AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) model—currently deployed across 16,000 systems in 9,000 U.S. schools and streaming more than 500,000 events annually—is now being tailored to the needs of Australian clubs, schools, and community associations. Early adopters include Hockey Australia, Netball New Zealand, and basketball organisations such as Queensland’s Southern Districts Spartans, which are already reporting strong engagement with the platform.
The system uses Pixellot's Agentic AI to automate production, personalise content, and support monetisation through per-player charging structures designed for the Australian market.
