Linfield University Athletics Adopts Chyron LIVE For Broadcast-Quality Streaming

Chyron recently deployed its cloud‑native Chyron LIVE platform to enable Linfield University to produce athletics coverage with low costs and high production values.

The all‑in‑one environment brings together multi‑camera switching, audio mixing, on‑air graphics overlays (names, scores, statistics, headshots and more), illustrated replay and clip playout. To extend LIVE’s ease of use, Chyron Creative Services also delivered a bespoke control panel to streamline matchday operation.

"While Chyron LIVE comes with a set of graphics that may be rebranded for any organization or event, we were happy to provide Linfield with their own unique graphics package built to integrate with their data sources, including scoreboard data and team rosters."

After successfully producing several Linfield soccer fixtures on Chyron LIVE, the university now plans to apply the platform to basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, handball and lacrosse. Single or multiple AWS Cloud production environments can be spun up as needed, allowing the operation to scale and tie costs directly to particular programmes, events and income.

Downstream of the Chyron‑powered production, FloSports receives the output and handles live distribution and social content, completing an end‑to‑end workflow.

"When we learned this summer that our conference was moving to a paywall model with a partnership with streaming service FloSports, we knew we needed to step up our game even more to ensure viewer satisfaction," said Joe Stuart, Linfield broadcast operations coordinator.
