AUB Launches New School In London For 2026

ARTFX, an internationally renowned school for film, animation, and visual effects, has partnered with Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) to open a new school and a specialised Master’s program in London.

Located in the heart of Shoreditch, the new school will be delivering the MA in Visual Effects and Photorealistic Computer Graphics from January 2026. The new 10 month course will deliver an intensive postgraduate program preparing students for careers in VFX for film, TV series, and 3D animation for feature films.

Our partnership with AUB, a major player in creative education in the UK, allows us to take another significant step forward," said Simon Vanesse, CEO of ARTFX.

Lisa Mann, CEO of AUB, added: "The new campus will strengthen the historic ties between ARTFX and the UK. This academic alliance of expertise in the heart of London will attract and train a new generation of artists close to the biggest studios in the country."

Located in a building shared by The Yard VFX studio, one of the key studio partners of ARTFX, the school is designed as a true incubator of talent. Students will benefit from a unique, dedicated learning environment with direct links to top London studios such as DNEG, One Of Us, Electric Theatre Collective, and Framestore.

Beyond its educational mission, ARTFX London also aims to become a key gathering place for industry players in the city. The Visual Effects Society London Section has chosen to join this venture by making the school its official address and headquarters. The facilities will regularly host industry events, reinforcing the school’s role as a creative hub for industry professionals.

The London campus will also offer a professional training centre, enabling artists and producers to continuously upskill throughout their careers and adapt to rapid technological and economic changes.
