Grass Valley Signs Agreement With Jamuna TV

News Image
Grass Valley has signed a significant agreement with Jamuna TV, a prominent privately owned news and current affairs channel in Bangladesh, to deliver a fully first native 4K broadcast workflow upgrade.

The project was made possible through close collaboration with Bangladesh Broadcast Systems, a recognised system integrator in the region. Under the leadership of CEO Mr. Atik, the partnership was key to aligning Jamuna TV's operational requirements with Grass Valley's advanced solutions. CTO Masum-ur Rahman played a pivotal role in driving the project forward, providing both strategic direction and technical expertise. Jamuna TV, operated by the Jamuna Group, is a 24-hour news channel renowned for its commitment to advanced broadcast technology, including a fully file-based workflow. Currently broadcasting in HD, Jamuna TV is preparing to transition to 4K to provide viewers with enhanced picture quality and a superior viewing experience that aligns with their vision.

The upgrade project includes deployment of the LDX 98 Native 4K Cameras in Jamuna TV’s news and program studios. To elevate 4K production capabilities in the production control rooms (PCR), K-Frame CXP Production Switchers and Korona panels will be installed. Additionally, a 12G Masterpiece Master Control Switcher is implemented in the master control room (MCR) to support a wide range of 4K input sources.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Grass Valley will be showing its end-to-end solutions at Broadcast India in Mumbai between October 14 & 16 on stand D04.
