S4C And TAC Announce Joint Conference
S4C and TAC have announced a joint conference, 'Dychmygu'r Dyfodol' (Imagining the Future), to set a new direction for Welsh-language broadcasting and content creation.
The annual conference will take place on 5–6 November 2025 at the Park Plaza Hotel in Cardiff, during S4C's anniversary week. It will be an opportunity for the broadcaster, the production sector, and the wider ecosystem of creative workers, freelancers, and companies to come together to discuss the future of the industry from a Welsh and Welsh-language perspective.
The announcement follows the launch of S4C's new five-year strategy, More Than a TV Channel.
The conference will explore how to attract and serve new audiences, the role of Welsh on digital platforms, creating opportunities in the industry for underrepresented voices, and collaborating to make Wales thrive.
The aim is to hold an annual event which will alternate between North and South Wales to reach everyone. The two-day conference will follow TAC's Annual General Meeting.
This event has received funding and support from Welsh Government via Creative Wales.
Geraint Evans, Chief Executive of S4C, said: "It's extremely important that S4C and TAC engage in dialogue and collaborate to continue delivering a compelling service to our audiences. I'm keen for us to look to the future and think progressively to ensure Welsh-language broadcasting leads the way in digital transformation.
"It will also be a privilege to celebrate S4C's anniversary each year with all the production companies who make it possible for us as a broadcaster to evolve and showcase our world through the Welsh language."
