Adder Announces Powerful New KVM Extender

News Image
Adder Technology has announced the most recent addition to its popular ADDERLink® XD 600 series.

Designed and engineered in direct response to customer needs, the new ADDERLink XD C650 is a KVM extender that combines key features previously only available separately in other products in the series: quad-head video and enhanced transparent USB capability, which supports a wider range of USB devices including USB audio headsets.

Demand for alternative remote desktop access solutions to SaaS-based thin clients is on the rise. Similarly, the requirement for reliable and controllable investment planning continues to be an essential criteria in organisational financial forecasting. Increasingly, users of software-based remote desktop access are considering hardware-based KVM alternatives because they are one-time investments rather than being tied to unpredictable subscription models. Additionally, they are simple to install, and being operating system agnostic, avoid complex software compatibility issues. They also ensure out-of-band connectivity where a secure closed network system is mission critical.

Neil Firth, senior product manager at Adder said: "The release of the ADDERLink XD C650 sees a significant increase in performance and capability of the XD 600 series and provides a viable future-proof solution for organisations to consider when reviewing their technological infrastructure. This latest product release is an exciting addition to the XD 600 series, combining key features that solve real-world customer problems."

The ADDERLink XD C650 combines quad-head capability and transparent USB into one extender solution and empowers users with even more choice when it comes to access and control of their networked devices. This is ideal for organisations where multiple screens may be required for enhanced data visualisation and two-way audio connectivity for mission critical environments, such as industrial control rooms or transport command and control centres.
