WSDG To Participate In The Bi-Annual MEET Show
The Walters-Storyk Design Group (WSDG) will participate in the bi-annual MEET (Messe für Eventtechnik und Theater) show for event technology and theatre, held at Messe Wien in Vienna from November 6 - 7, 2024.
With a reputation for delivering world-class architectural acoustic consulting and media system engineering, the WSDG team will not only host a booth (F2, Hall D) but also present an educational lecture as part of the event's official programme.
As an international trade fair for event technology featuring a specialist conference for events and theatre, MEET blends technology and art with over 80 exhibitors. This event presents the latest innovations in event technology and provides a valuable platform for discussion among theatre and event managers.
WSDG's Dirk Noy, Partner and Director of Applied Science and Engineering, along with Mario Reithofer, Business Development, will be available throughout the two-day event, where they will meet with clients, partners and industry professionals to discuss ongoing and future projects.
Additionally, Noy will deliver a lecture titled Room Acoustics and Electroacoustics in Theater Construction: Immersive Audio Experiences for Modern Stages on Thursday, November 7 from 14:45 to 15:30.
"Room acoustics and electroacoustics play a central role in modern theatre architecture," Noy explained. "The lecture will highlight the basic principles of room acoustics and their importance for the natural propagation of sound in theatre spaces."
Noy will also demonstrate how electroacoustic systems and immersive audio technologies can be employed to create an intensive and expansive sound experience.
"We are thrilled to participate in MEET and showcase WSDG's deep expertise and passion for the event technology and theatre industry," concluded Noy. "We look forward to engaging with fellow exhibitors, visitors and industry professionals who share an interest in acoustics. Our lecture will further explore these topics in depth."
