TSR scores with VertigoXmedia's Producer Xmedia Suite
Télévision Suisse Romande (TSR), based in Geneva, Switzerland, upgraded its broadcast graphics capabilities in time for live coverage of the Euro 2004 soccer championships with VertigoXmedia's Producer Xmedia Suite of advanced graphics automation products.
TSR, part of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation, took delivery of the company's suite of applications in May, just one month before the start of the games.
An entirely new look was created for the Euro 2004 coverage, which included full-screen 3D graphics, a crawling ticker and 3D charts.
"With our new VertigoXmedia solution, we've taken our coverage of Euro 2004 to a new level," said Guy Dessaux, Director of Multimedia Projects at TSR. "We have more graphics, they're of a much higher quality, and we can get them on air more quickly. The system is very easy to use -- our operators are more comfortable with the process of graphics insertion than ever before."
