Todd-AO Creative Services to transmit live stunt for Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network is launching ‘Skatoony Truckatoony’, a brand-new, half-hour, live animated show produced entirely in-house.
Animated in Flash and Lightwave for the 3D sequences, the show is produced by a team of six at Cartoon Network.
Over a million Truckatoon cards have been distributed to children around the UK who will be tuning into the show to see if they have won a truckload of toys.
Chudd and The Earl, the animated hosts of the show, will talk live over the phone to the winning child thanks to the magic of the Kaydara Filmbox (FBX).
Todd-AO Creative Services in Camden has been commissioned to host and transmit a live segment for the brand new live kids show.
The stunt will involve children ringing in to take part in a competition and talking to an animated character live on air.
This has been made possible by converting an edit suite and voice-over booth at Todd-AO into a gallery. Children will ring a dedicated competition phone line and be put through to a phone operator on site, who will re-direct the call to a voiceover artist and Kaydara animator. Together with vision mixers and fgx operators in the gallery, a live animated feed will be created that will be fed down into the facility’s transmission department, to be played out through the automation system to air.
