The G1 marks a significant milestone for the industry by being the first-ever receiver card to support 10Gb Ethernet over fibre direct to the panel. It is capable of supporting a remarkable one million pixels, ready for a new era of ultra-fine pixel pitch panels, but is also capable of driving panels at refresh rates up to a stunning 1,000 fps (frames per second). TrueLight®, driven by the Tessera G1 receiver card, enables control of RGBW LED panels. These bring major benefits in situations where LED panels are contributing to the lighting of a scene, such as in a virtual production volume, where the narrow spectral output of conventional RGB panels can cause colour shifts and unnatural skin tones. TrueLight builds upon Brompton’s Dynamic Calibration technology to achieve spectrally-aware per-pixel calibration of RGBW panels, allowing for intelligent RGB to RGBW conversion that gives a broader spectral output for better lighting quality while maintaining precise colour accuracy.
