Veset Now Supports Dolby Audio®

News Image
Veset now supports Dolby Audio® for its cloud playout solution, Veset Nimbus.

The implementation enables Veset's customers to create linear channels with high quality 5.1 channels audio in Dolby Digital for enhanced audio quality.

With this implementation, Veset Nimbus users can deliver live and on-demand channels with high quality surround sound to enhance the experience. Channels will have higher quality audio with enhanced clarity, detail, and depth. Background noise and distortion will be reduced for a cleaner sound, and dialogue clarity will be improved. Veset Nimbus users delivering channels to a range of devices will benefit from the wide array of devices with Dolby Audio such as TVs, smartphones, gaming consoles, and streaming services. Veset Nimbus customers will also benefit from better compression through Dolby Audio that reduces the size of audio files without compromising on quality, making it easier to stream or store high quality audio.

Dolby Audio is a leading standard for home theatre, broadcast, and cinema sound, and has redefined the entertainment experience for audiences around the world. Dolby Audio is a suite of audio solutions developed by Dolby Laboratories that deliver enhanced audio quality for various entertainment media, including movies, TV shows, music, games, and sports. It delivers a high-quality surround sound experience and improved sound quality, wide compatibility, better dialogue clarity, dynamic range control, and better compression. With Dolby Audio, the audience can experience greater realism and excitement.

Gatis Gailis, CEO, Veset, added: "Audiences have come to expect the very best quality video and audio on any device and for every type of content. We knew that the best quality sound would mean implementing Dolby Audio with our playout solution. Having reached this milestone, we can now ensure an enhanced experience for viewers."

Veset Nimbus enables advanced linear channel management thanks to a range of all-in-one channel creation tools from live stream and file ingest, scheduling, EPG, content management, SCTE35, multiple live switching and complex graphics, to playout and encoding. Channels can include a mix of live and video-on-demand (VOD) content and be distributed to multiple platforms.
