SYSMEDIA TO PROVIDE DIGITAL TEXT SOLUTION TO BSKYB

SYSMEDIA Ltd, the leading supplier of systems for the creation and management of digital text services in the UK, has today announced that BSkyB, the UK digital satellite broadcaster, will install SysMedia's Plasma Magenta content production and management system at its West London headquarters where it will be used to produce and manage the SkyText digital text service.
Richard Oppé, Managing Director of SysMedia, said, "This is a very significant decision. BSkyB is taking a strategic position with its digital text services and we're delighted Plasma Magenta has been chosen as the key technology platform. This confirms our strongly held belief that Plasma Magenta offers the best technology for creating and managing multi-platform services, and positions SysMedia as the leading supplier of broadcast text management solutions in the market today. It has long been our intention to have our name synonymous with digital text services, and with BSkyB working with us we are one step closer to that goal. By choosing Plasma Magenta BSkyB can shift their focus from development of the technology platform for the production of digital text services and concentrate on creating high quality content, which is very good news for journalists and editors."
