Interra Systems Completes AWS FTR Of Its ORION-OTT

Interra Systems has successfully completed the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Foundational Technical Review (FTR) of its ORION-OTT, a comprehensive monitoring solution for the quality assurance of OTT streams, in the cloud or on-premises. Interra Systems is a member of the AWS Partner Network (APN), a global community of AWS Partners that leverage programs, expertise, and resources to build, market, and sell customer offerings.

Earlier this year, Interra Systems passed an AWS FTR of its BATON solution, which is an industry-leading machine learning and artificial intelligence-enabled automated quality control (QC) platform. With the availability of both BATON and ORION-OTT in the cloud, media companies can now take advantage of newer, faster processors for optimum performance, and have the flexibility to streamline content production and delivery from anywhere in the world to ensure optimum video quality and viewer experience.

"We are extremely pleased to have passed the AWS Foundational Technical Review of ORION-OTT as a member of the AWS Partner Network," said Saurabh Jain, director, strategic partnerships at Interra Systems. "With both BATON and ORION-OTT solutions, now AWS FTR-approved, customers can reliably achieve high-quality video through end-to-end quality and monitoring while running the media workflow on AWS."

FloSports, a video streaming service dedicated to sports and offering live and on-demand access to hundreds of thousands of events across 25+ vertical sports categories in the U.S. and abroad, is one company that is realizing the benefits of deploying Interra Systems' ORION-OTT in the cloud.

"Until now, we've been unable to monitor and diagnose issues with our live sports channels; we'd just been troubleshooting manually as problems arose," said Niels Brunsgaard, video solution architect at FloSports. "To deliver a better streaming experience, we required an easy-to-use, customizable monitoring solution that would allow us to proactively identify issues and dive deep into problem areas to resolve them before they impact the customer. That's exactly what ORION-OTT in the cloud provides, and it's had a huge impact on our QoS and QoE."

As an APN member, Interra Systems is uniquely positioned to help media companies take full advantage of all that AWS has to offer and accelerate their journey to the cloud. FTRs help APN members identify and remediate risks in their products or solutions. The AWS FTR is led by an AWS Partner Solutions Architect who reviews independent software vendor (ISV) products and solutions against a specific set of security, reliability, and operational excellence requirements.

Leveraging industry-proven, audio/video quality analysis technologies, Interra Systems' ORION-OTT is a comprehensive monitoring solution for LIVE services and video on demand (VOD) assets, in the cloud or on-premises. It offers service providers a high-performance, scalable solution to verify Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) videos for monitoring both Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE). ORION-OTT also provides passive monitoring of origin server performance and end-user devices to understand recurrent issues and their causes, while its web-based interface allows remote monitoring through any browser-enabled device.

"Media companies are scaling content production and delivery in the cloud and are looking for solutions that can help them deliver high-quality video to their viewers, and this recent FTR of ORION-OTT presents our media customers with a trusted content monitoring solution to ensure flawless delivery on every device," said Ryan Broadwell, WW director, APN sales enablement at AWS. "Our continuing association with Interra Systems as a member of AWS Partner Network is helping media companies to scale their content workflows."
