Broadpeak Releases Latest Version Of BkA100

Broadpeak® has launched the latest version of its BkA100 video delivery analytics solution, featuring a redesigned user-friendly interface.

The upgraded solution, which improves high-quality video delivery to every screen, also includes insightful dashboard customisation tools, and A/B testing capabilities, providing operators with a more accurate and comprehensive view of what is happening within the video delivery network so that they can identify and adjust relevant parameters to continuously improve end-users' QoE.

With the BkA100, operators can create highly detailed, customised, and dedicated dashboards with visual metrics for various applications, such as live and VOD streaming, ad insertion, multicast ABR, and more. Through customised analytics dashboards, the BkA100 enables operators to gain insights into video delivery to more effectively troubleshoot issues, reliably detect points of contention, and specifically monitor the indicators that are most important for them.

In addition, the BkA100 now supports A/B testing, which is key to navigating the ever-growing list of settings that operators can fine-tune within video delivery systems to optimise a viewer's QoE. The BkA100 offers Cumulative Distribution Function (CDF) visualisations for A/B testing on the impact of a given parameter (e.g., player version, CDN feature activation) on key QoE metrics such as startup time, bitrate, and freezes.

Ultimately, the latest capabilities on the BkA100 allow operators to better analyse regional and PoP performance, more precisely measure audiences by geographical segments, and increase the efficiency of targeted advertising by enabling them to gather valuable information about the ad, QoE, and more.

Broadpeak's BkA100 video delivery analytics solution gathers information from multiple places, including the player level and network side. From the player level, the BkA100 provides operators with data on the startup time, freeze duration and percentage, delivered layer, and the connectivity of the player (i.e., WiFi, 4G, or wired) to help better contextualise the QoE. On the network side, the BkA100 gathers information from the CDN, ad insertion solution, multicast ABR solution (Broadpeak's nanoCDN™), and the CDN selector (Broadpeak's umbrellaCDN™).
