The Nerve Appoints New Business Development Director

News Image
The Nerve, the fast growing multi-genre music library launched by ex-Audio Network executives Juliette Squair and Scott Pearce earlier in 2020, has appointed Caroline Bingham to its Board as Business Development Director.

With over 20 years experience in the TV production industry, ranging from Location Sound Recordist to heading up sales at The Farm kit hire division, Rent, Caroline joins The Nerve direct from her role as Business Development Manager at TV data storage specialist Film Locker where she spearheaded the company's sales strategy.

Caroline will join The Nerve Board, chaired by senior TV and Tech exec, Claire Hungate.

Caroline's appointment comes as take up of The Nerve music across the TV industry has increased significantly, whilst the library has grown over 50% since launch in Jan 2020, offering over 118 albums of original new music for use in all TV production, across multiple genres. Recent credits include; Take your Knee off My Neck for C4, Derren Brown retrospective for C4, Gardener’s World for BBC and Bettany Hughes: A Greek Odyssey for Channel 5.

Caroline will work alongside Co-Founder Juliette Squair, focusing on the rollout of The Nerve music to the TV production industry.
Speaking about her appointment she said: "The Nerve has the perfect mix of passionate Top TV and music experts as founders and investors, coupled with a product set to bring diverse new talent to the library music world and transform the perception of library music across the broadcast industry."

Juliette said: "Caroline brings with her the perfect blend of hands on production experience together with her knowledge of our catalogue and enthusiasm for The Nerve."

The Nerve secured backing from a number of industry heavyweights, including former Warner Bros TV Production UK exec Claire Hungate; Fulwell 73 Managing Partner Leo Pearlman; and Jonathan Norman, MD at GCA Altium.

The Nerve has built a diverse national network of new talent, who have been given a remit to deliver original production music with full creative control and no restrictive 'house style'. The music they compose is automatically cleared globally for all platforms.

The Nerve is licensed with the BBC, C4 and Sky and is listed as among the broadcasters’ preferred suppliers, ensuring that all PRS payments and royalties due are paid direct to the composers.
