VDS announces real-time SD/HD paint support for Bluefish444 uncompressed video cards

VDS, a leading developer of broadcast automation software, content design applications and plug-in products, has announced that its leading broadcast paint system Twister now supports SD/HD real-time paint I/O on the Bluefish444 line of uncompressed video cards.
Twister is a complete paint, graphics content creation and I/O solution for broadcasters, which runs as a standalone application, or as a plug-in for industry-leading content creation, editing, management and display systems. With Twister, artists will now have access to VDS' famous content creation tools and file transfer utilities right from a single intuitive user interface. This includes a full suite of comprehensive paint tools and brushes, unlimited layering capabilities, and sophisticated image processing and masking tools developed specifically for broadcasters. In addition, most Photoshop plug-ins may be run from within Twister, allowing access to hundreds of inexpensive image effect libraries currently available.
"We are very keen about working with our new friends at Bluefish444," commented David-Ray Worthington, Director of Marketing and Product Development at VDS. "Combining Twister with the high quality Bluefish444 series of SD and HD boards creates one more reason why any Broadcaster serious about enhancing their graphics creation capabilities will want to consider Twister."
Twister has been infused with many broadcast-friendly features such as R/W Photoshop layers and direct connection/file support for most industry-standard devices such as Chyron, Aprisa, Pinnacle, Avid, and Quantel. In addition, the software supports 3D paste image and mask layers, video grab to canvas and real-time paint show to video.
"A graphic content creation toolset for broadcast artists is one of the most highly requested solutions for professional high definition customers," said Paul Cameron, Product and Support Manager for Bluefish444. "Twister delivers on this with rich toolsets and features allowing customers to switch between various high definition and standard definition modes including 720p in real-time and in 10 bit YUV quality."
All new Bluefish444 CDs will be shipping with trial versions of trial versions of Twister that are fully functional with save disabled.
