Matt Reeves Brings 'Way Station' Adaption To Netflix
Netflix has landed the rights for a film adaption of Clifford D. Simak's sci-fi novel 'Way Station'.
Director of the recent 'Dawn' and 'War' sequels of 'Planet of the Apes', Matt Reeves has brought the project to Netflix with his production company 6th and Idaho.
Way Station follows Enoch Wallace, who for more than 100 years has been the keeper of a Way Station on Earth for intergalactic alien travelers as they teleport across the universe. But the gifts of knowledge and immortality that his intergalactic guests have bestowed upon him are proving to be a nightmarish burden, for they have opened Enoch's eyes to humanity's impending destruction. Still, one final hope remains for the human race.
This project falls under Matt Reeves' first look deal with 6th & Idaho.
Despite a busy schedule directing Warner Bros' upcoming 'The Batman' starring Robert Pattinson, Reeves is deep in producing work with his company also developing 'Animal Farm', 'Button Man', 'Idol' and 'Recursion'.
