Take 2 Films Appoints New Business Development Directors

News Image
Take 2 Films has appointed both Melanie Georgieva and Sandro Leone as the company's Business Development Directors.

The new Business Development team will further strengthen Take 2's commitment to providing expert advice and dedicated support to each production.
In their new roles, Melanie and Sandro will be responsible for developing new business strategies for the company and building strong relationships with key industry contacts. Working together, they will focus on accelerating sales growth in Take 2's business interests, spanning feature films, dramas, commercials and pop promos.

Melanie brings with her a wealth of experience in the entertainment industry, having spent over two decades working in studio, film, television, radio, animation and post-production. She joins Take 2 from Pinewood Studios where she spent over six years as Sales Manager working on various major and independent features and television dramas. Prior to this, Melanie was the Bookings Manager for 3 Mills Studios, where she worked with prominent directors such as Danny Boyle and David Cronenberg. In her early career, Melanie worked for the BBC and Turner Broadcasting, securing a solid understanding of the production process.

Commenting on her appointment, Melanie said: "I'm thrilled to be joining the wonderful team at Take 2 Films, a company with incredible technical expertise, a client-centric culture and a sharp focus on the future. I look forward to working with Sandro as we continue to drive the success of Take 2, ensuring clients receive the unparalleled service that the company has come to be known for."

Sandro joins Take 2 from Focus 24, where he was Head of Film and Drama and successfully secured regular long form contracts for the company, having forged strong relationships with key production contacts. Previous to this, Sandro spent 17 years at ARRI Rental gaining a vast amount of technical knowledge as he worked his way through the ranks to become Business Manager for the final 6. As Business Manager he acquired a considerable number of high value projects for the company, guaranteed return business and creating lasting relationships with Executive Producers, Production Managers and Procurement Managers.

"Over the years, I have seen Take 2 grow from strength to strength and have always admired their dedication to supporting cinematographers and their crew. Not only do they have a fantastic range of the latest digital cameras, but they can also cater to the resurgence in popularity of the film medium, with their fleet of 16mm and 35mm film cameras. I'm looking forward to working alongside Melanie and the rest of the Take 2 team," said Sandro.
Speaking of the appointment, Take 2 MD, Alan Piper said: "We are all delighted to have both Melanie and Sandro join the Take 2 family. Both have a proven track record in sales and a profound knowledge of the industry, which makes them an invaluable asset to our team, and a force to be reckoned with as we continue to grow and expand the business."
