Lawo Introduces Latest Addition To VSM System

Lawo has introduced the latest addition to its Virtual Studio Manager (VSM) system, the vsmWebPanel.

vsmWebPanel is a new touch-optimised HTML5-integrated solution, allowing users fine-tune their workflow. It allows customers build customised VSM control panels tailored to exact production needs, then deploy them on mobile devices like tablets, laptops, even phones, to command a broadcast infrastructure from virtually anywhere.



Lawo VSM is the powerful, flexible IP-based broadcast control system that integrates easily with the largest variety of popular broadcast equipment, including video routers and switchers, audio routers and consoles, multiviewers, intercoms, and other third-party devices. Through its use of native protocols, VSM provides the "glue" that gives producers fast, accurate control of plant-wide resources — all in an intuitive, customisable, touch-enabled interface.



Another new VSM module is the vsmGadgetServer interface. Like the vsmWebPanel, this software is HTML5-enabled to allow deployment of the vsmGadgetServer interface on mobile devices. Users gain configuration and control capabilities for a broad range of connections from any host or device on their mobile devices using their standard HTML5-enabled Web browser — without the need to install or maintain device-specific control software.
