School TV station purchases Pinnacle Liquid Edition

Manchester-based Whalley Range High School has purchased a Liquid Edition for use in its ground- breaking ‘in-house’ television station, Range TV.
The school already has a Liquid Purple video editing system and is adding Liquid Edition to give it even greater capabilities. The school will also use Liquid Edition to make DVD versions of its brochure.
Range TV is broadcast throughout the day to the whole school, keeping everybody fully informed on what is happening there. Every room in the school has at least one television – there are four in the dining room - allowing all staff and students to tune in and watch the daily broadcasts of all the programmes produced in the school.
Roy Appleby, assistant head teacher, said: “Range TV is vital for making sure that everybody is fully aware of everything that is happening in the school, all of the time. This is a very big school with some 1,800 pupils and we don’t have a room big enough for daily assembly, which is why we set up Range TV. Our news and magazine programmes, along with notices for the students and staff, can be watched by everybody at any time so nobody need feel left out.”
